Sustainable Water Systems:  Step One - Redefining the Nation's  Infrastructure Challenge
A Report of the Aspen Institute's Dialogue on Sustainable Water Infrastructure in the US
Recommendation 1:   " the...community must redefine "water infrastructure" as one
that integrates built infrastructure components with the protection and restoration of its
supporting natural watershed infrastructure ...."

 WREN Opportunity  Grants
WREN  has Opportunity Grants available, small grants to community groups to carry out local watershed education projects.  Projects must be completed by September 30.    Maximum funding per project is $300.

Chesapeake Bay and Public Health 

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation has released a report, "Bad Water 2009: The Impact on Human Health in the Chesapeake Bay Region,"  linking water pollution and public health in the Chesapeake Bay Region.  According to CBF President, Will Baker, "these findings represent a further indictment of government agencies charged with enforcing clean water laws."
