Focus: prepare and air the "Green Tip of the Week" television commercial campaign to educate citizens in Warren, Crawford, and Erie counties about the steps they can take to protect and improve the watersheds they live in thereby protecting the sources of their drinking water.

Project Title: Meadville Stormwater Best Management Practices Educational Project
Area(s) to be protected: French Creek Watershed
Partner: City of Meadville
Focus: hold a “Better Stormwater Management Through Site Design” Workshop based on PA Dept of Environmental Protection’s Stormwater Manual. The workshop, aimed especially at municipal officials, will use a Stormwater BMP demonstration site developed by the partnership. Armed with resources to adequately review and critique proposed land development projects within the watershed, nonpoint source pollution from stormwater within the French Creek watershed can be reduced. Focus: develop a coloring book about good source water protection practices in the home, develop an on-site tour of the water treatment plant, including the use of educational models, produce a brochure identifying the source water protection area and provide educational materials to the public library and schools about SWP. Project Title: Titusville's Wellhead Protection through Signage and Announcement Program
Area to be protected: Oil Creek watershed
Partners: Oil Creek Township, Hyde Town Borough, Wellhead Protection Committee, City of Titusville Water Authority, Cherrytree Fire Department and Pleasantville Borough Fire Department
Focus: post "Water Supply Area" signs in the Oil Creek watershed where state roadways intersect the delineated water supply area and announce sign installations to citizens of the area via a bill stuffer.

Drinking
Water Discovery Day

Focus:
This project partnered senior citizens and high school students
in two Drinking Water Discovery Days which toured a water treatment
facility and conducted various water education activities and discussion
of drinking water issues within the French Creek watershed. A website
devoted to organizing a drinking water education day was developed
and a drinking water fact sheet published.
