Area to be protected: Delaware and Schuykill rivers

Focus: develop a guide and hold workshops to educate public works department staff and commercial property owners in Delaware and Montgomery Counties on the inspection, operating, repair and retrofit procedures for stormwater management facilities that are necessary to minimize nonpoint source pollution in the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers.

Area to be protected: Ridley, Crum Creek
Partners: Aqua Pennsylvania, Delaware County Conservation District, Marple Township and Borough of Swarthmore
Focus: hold two workshops for residents of Marple Township and the Borough of Swarthmore to educate about stormwater management and pollution issues emphasizing how the use of rainbarrels can minimize polluted runoff from entering the area's drinking water source, Crum Creek.

Project Title: Rain Barrel and Stormwater Community Education
Area to be protected: Ridley, Cum and Darby creeks
Partners: Delaware County Conservation District, Upper Providence Township, Radnor Township
Focus: hold workshops for homeowners and businesses of Radnor and Upper Providence Townships illustrating how rain gardens and rain barrels can lower the amount of stormwater runoff during rain events and significantly curtail the amount of nonpoint source pollution entering the Darby Creek, Ridley Creek, and Crum Creek.

Focus: develop a 12-month Grazing and Pasture Management Planner illustrating Best Management Practices of pasture management that have been shown to be effective at lowering risks of pollution to drinking water supplies.

Area to be protected: Ridley Creek

Focus: create and distribute customized educational packets aimed at homeowners, local officials, developers, realtors, and nurseries about how each can reduce nonpoint source pollution in Ridley Creek using tree and plant management techniques to control the amount and quality of stormwater runoff.

Focus: use reference materials, displays, local cable television access, website postings, and workshops for homeowner groups to promote best watershed stewardship practices that will reduce nonpoint source pollution the Ridley Creek watershed.
